>>43848194It's not that bad rewards-wise. Allow me to run it down for you.
There are two PVP modes. The first one is your team vs an AI defence team. This is a complete non-issue since the punishment for losing is nothing and many players use weak sandbag teams to help others climb, and by the end of each season everyone will have reached the max rank.
The real time PVP mode is more of a problem since the current update added more rewards to higher tiers and made it harder to climb at the same time, on top of adding a new character strengthening system that appeals to whales. Pic related is the rewards for a season, which is every two and a half months, so not very substantial (1 gacha pull = 150 diamonds). There are also weekly rewards of gems and stamina.
Getting to Gold 5 is trivial since you can't go down a rank. After that each time you go up to a new class you'll stay there for good, so you technically only need to get to Diamond once to get all future skins unless they change something.
The PVP also has a system of bans and ups, where characters that dominate PVP in a week get increased costs in the next weak, and characters that rarely get used get lowered costs and increased stats. This can be bad for new players since you won't have that many units and the ones you use could get banned, but it also means meta units aren't allowed to dominate PVP forever and people have to change their teams each week to work around it.
You can tell by my rank that I basically ignored PVP until the recent update added the skin reward for it.
