The threads deteriorate because not much happens. Seasons would be one path, greatly increasing the impact of actions could be another so we can go back to having "news" to talk about. Or something I'm completely missing which is not more mini-games to ignore while not caring about the market.
If you think more coins will somehow save the game, you're delusional is what I'm saying.
