>>50768256It'll depend on the birb, obviously, but in my experience shoulder sitting results in rebellion and obnoxious behavior especially during puberty and post puberty as they vie for dominance. Others have had it happen to them, too. You need to be the top of the pecking order, which means getting them used to sitting on something that isn't your shoulder. This won't stop them from finding a curtain rod to sit on or a high shelf, but in general if they're doing this regularly it is because they're trying to show dominance over you. Any hissing, biting, or other dominant acts will be clues.
