Yes, you need to put some thought into what and how you say things, but you'll never be comfortable if you don't get out there. I know this because I'm socially anxious and it went away when I had jobs that had me dealing with the public a lot. It's come back now that I don't have to talk to people so much. Get the fuck out there.
