Nobody thinks you have any sort of talent if you know how to speak English for example since most people are somewhat expected to already know it seeing as it's an international language.
Knowing Japanese doesn't really matter for most people since they don't give a shit about it as it's only spoken in one country and has almost no proper international uses like English does.
