>>39116175>>39116308 is an understatement.
Magni had a serious back injury recently, so the issue has been coming up a lot in streams, as it limits what he can do. He got sick again on top of that but said it was just a cold and not COVID. After he finally got over his cold, he came onstream laughing evilly, saying he just got over COVID and that he lied to his manager so they wouldn't try to hold him back from streaming.
I think most well-adjusted viewers just laughed and moved on, but a vocal minority of his viewers got unreasonably upset by this. People were concernfagging over his health and scolding him over his life decisions, but worse were those especially indignant that a comedian roleplaying an anime character on the internet was not 100% open and honest about his private life at all times to thousands of strangers about something that doesn't ultimately affect them. From the sounds of it, a group of people echo-chambered in a private Discord server and collectively decided to throw textwalls of complaints at him about how emotionally devastated they were to hear a lie, how they can't stand for his unacceptable behavior, that they're unsubbing, that he's a bad influence on children (?), that he needs therapy, etc.
Hours later, Magni announced in a members post that he'd been too open about his personal life--he said he had felt he was being too distant and made a conscious effort to be more open with the viewers, but it's gotten uncomfortable and he'll be dialing it back. Many of the replies to the post were reasonable and supportive, saying they appreciated his openness and didn't think it was oversharing, but they'd support whichever decision he makes and is best for him. Elsewhere, more drama was happening as people learned of the news and started freaking out and arguing with each other. (Here, everyone ranted at length about the concernfags ruining it for everyone for a day or two and then it just devolved into simply posting HE HATES US/FUCKING MAGMITES/disgusted Magmite face Photoshops)
In Magni's next few streams, he was more quiet and guarded, talking more vaguely and cutting himself off when he realized he was veering into personal health topics. In the last couple streams, he's seemed a bit more chipper and has been letting a bit more information slip.
