The guy is famous for his YouTube Shorts on coding, so a good portion of his viewers are people who basically never watched streams before. When I looked at his chat it was full of people asking why he was playing with a child, why his collab partner sounds like a cartoon character, and the classic man with a voice changer comments. I think that people in the west who just watch YouTube videos but not streams, still haven't had too much exposure to the concept of a vtuber yet.
