All the recent best indie collabs in terms of both numbers and reception have been competitive with some form of stakes and viewer participation. It doesn't matter what specific game, just as long as there is no noticeable skill gap and lasts at max 2 hours. Also give viewers point betting. Most indies haven't trained enough to carry otherwise boring games with their personality, the one's that can do that succeed when breaking those "rules" ie the /unity/ l4d collab.
