I watched F91 in 1996 without previous knowledge of the franchise and felt lost during the entire movie.
Alternate century can be watched in any order, they are not related at all. It's got everything from batshit crazy street fighter but with robots and sometimes in space to an attempt at gundam 0079 but for fujos that some people consider good because they were 11 when it was on toonami, they are objectively wrong.
