As the sun sets on another day, events still can't come to a rest.
What started as a harmless action snowballed into an unprecedented situation for Nijisanji.
It was supposed to be a positive video showcasing all the good things about her time in the company, giving each Talent that she felt connected with their own time in a sweet song. But it was not to be. Why would there be any need to get permissions to represent Nijisanji talents, past and present, in a positive light? Who would need to be asked for permission? The Liver? The company? The company itself does not ask livers for their permission to use them in promo material, which only makes sense, so acting as part of the company should fall under the same rules, right? But it was not so. A sad fact that nobody could've foreseen and that escalated the situation. It brought frustrations to a boiling point which resulted in self-harm and in the termination of the talent in question. And what crime did she commit? A music video for a cover that showcases all the positives despite the differences that may or may not have been present, that regardless of what happened, she could still show everyone together in unity.
After a month of silence, the result was revealed and while even the suspicious termination notice received its share of criticism, nobody could guess what would next happen.
In a freak decision Elira, Selen's sister, scheduled a stream with two others, Vox and Ike (for some reason) where they would address the situation regarding Selen.
Finally, a word from the people who worked with Selen over years. Surely, they would make clear that no ill will was directed at the girl who was driven to self-harm and rightfully say that they are saddened at how unfortunate the turn of events was for everyone involved.
But that was not to be. In this short stream, which is monetized, Elira, Vox and Ike talked about how deserving Selen is of everything she is receiving. A situation that bewildered everyone. Not only that but as they kept talking, more and more details about just how bad things were leaked from their very own mouths, details that the now reincarnated Dokibird did never mention before. Thus Elira, who claims that the decision to produce this stream was hers alone, also put names to the thus far, unnamed bullies that allegedly made the situation worse for Selen during her time at Nijisanji. It was Elira, Enna and Millie. The video made such an impact that a second notice regarding the termination of Selen needed to be posted, wherein Anycolor claims they were in the right to make this video.
Shortly after, the CEO of Anycolor, young billionaire Riku Tazumi posted a video himself on the Nijisanji channel. With a deep bow he promised to do better in the future and apologized. It was not the best performance and it was a shame it had to come to this, but in this string of events, it was the least harmful step so far and at best a step in the right direction, though that remains to be seen in the future.
Now, we are still in the middle of this story. Many people, even outside of the Vtuber community have latched onto this case to showcase their opinion on it, though it really is not needed, putting unnecessary pressure on everyone.
With the situation restless, many questions remain unanswered, and, on the horizon, new questions arise. Scarle has been missing ever since a like on a negative comment has been spotted. Will she go the same way as Selen? Were the Feeling and opinions given in the video on Elira's channel truly their own? And who greenlit that sort of video in the first place? And a mysterious job posting from Anycolor, apparently looking for a talent manager. But why would a talent manager be a high schooler or a university student? Why was the job minimum wage? Why was it only a part-time job? Is this truly the quality that this giant company that represents over 50 talents in Vtubing has for their manager roles? Is this all they are willing to pay? Where does Riku keep the play buttons and what for? Is the yacht real? And will the situation be better in future or is this the end for Nijisanji EN? How will Elira, Millie and Enna fare once the situation is over? These and many other questions remain...
