She gets her degree then she goes and works 90+ hour weeks for the rest of her life which pays much less than her current job? She becomes an indie and then her income goes to nearly nothing? Being a stay at home wife seems like the least awful option, but she does seems ambitious so that doesn't seem like a great option either.
Whatever she wants to do, I really hope she's happy. She's brought a lot of joy to my life and I'm sad that I didn't realize that until this whole episode.
