A question I've been pondering. I am relatively new to this scene, so bear with me.
The ability for VTubers to drop their past "self" and move to a new one, while also banning the discussion of their previous life, does this not make it really easy to get away with a lot of things? It's not like I can hop into a VTubers channel and accuse her of things that's not "her", so to speak. It also seems like it goes against VTuber "culture" and "etiquette".
I would likely understand it more if they were playing a character, but that seems to be a small part of what a VTuber is, and most just use their backstory and lore as a hook and not something they use to roleplay.
I would appreciate any thoughts you could share to help me understand, because it's getting hard for me to dislike this trend.
