The fact that she's popular is exactly why she's bad. Everything that are popular are mostly enjoyed by the masses that have no taste because they appeal to that large demographic. Remember that this is true for everything, from games, anime, movies, songs, and so on. It is an undisputable fact that popular things are popular because they are produced to appeal to the dumbest audience possible, because they're the most numerous.
So yeah, popular is bad if you have taste.
