Youtube periodically reviews engagements in batches.
When a batch gest reviewed, it's removed from your video's metrics until the review finishes. This causes your sub/like/view count to superficially go down or freeze. This is temporary, and the engagement returns after completing validation.
Youtube has worked this way (unchanged) for over a decade and this behaviour is public knowledge. It's entirely distinct from the view bug.
