>>59048485That's just the way much of Russian literature is. It's like the opposite of English where they tried to be as concise as possible for the last 150 or so years. In Russian, a sentence in your prose (when you are not writing dialog) that doesn't have unreasonably many clauses, 6 or 7 for example, is simply not /lit/ enough, unless you are going for a staccato. Consider my previous sentence. I wrote it as I would in Russian and it's not even relatively bad. You get used to it if you read shit like that your entire life. You also end up preferring your bittersweet 90% bitter.
