As a result, they most probably won't be sinking any ships soon in most reasonable scenario - they're primarily anti-personnel weapons against boarders and other soft targets without protection from hardened hulls. For anti-ship guns, you would probably need some of the larger lela cannons for that (even then they're fairly light), and seems to be usually placed in fortified aft and bow instead of broadsides (which makes sense given their generally smaller and often piratical use).
Combined with Risuners' talent and /risu/'s still-developing industrial base, I would say that /meat/head naval warfare style is probably more suitable than /morig/'s, but then again, I'm from /meat/ so you might want to take it with a grain of salt.
