I pity anyone who thinks it would be a good idea to share the fact that they spend their free time watching grown women badly play video games whilst pretending to be japanese cartoon characters. This stuff is repulsive to a normal person, and concealing power levels is a thing for a reason. The vast majority of anime-ajacent fans I've talked to irl seem to belong to the casual and ironic weeb demographics, and there's no way I'd want to hear "WAOW THAT WAS SO WHOLESOME, MY CUTE GOOFBALL SAID THE THING, DID TIKTOK MEME, SUUGOOOIII" in person. The vocal hololive fans remind me of 2013-era bronies who would parade their MLP toys around the high school classroom and try to convince people that it was normal.
