So from the trade and cultural osmosis, the Hooman language became the common spoken language of the Saplings. The languages of the three Council nations in the North probably had a common ancestor or were closely related. Saplings probably used to speak a language close to what we use before it was replaced by both forest sense and the Hooman language. The Brrats... /nasa/ says they speak Aussie English but in my own headcanon they speak a language close to ours just with a very thick Aussie-like accent. Though to be fair ours isn't that far away from modern English either...
