>>21970911This surprised me but I'll do my best. I don't think I'm necessarily any more emotional than you. Feelings are complex. It may be that having the right experiences could unlock parts of yourself you can't now imagine. Or you could simply just be tired, ground down by stress and monotony. I know when I'm like that I get incredibly nihilistic. It's not that meaning is fake, just that I'd become blind to it. At the risk of undue presumption, find someone who doesn't make you feel lonely; who can snap you out of your personal narratives. If you mainly spend your time viewing others as stupid obstacles, then you're limiting your imagination and it takes a lot of imagination to invoke strong feelings. You may also find that the heart softens with age so, like me, you can delight in pseudo-nostalgia for a bygone youth. I never had anyone like his portrayal of Gura but he helped me imagine at least a fraction of that joy.
