Niji livers say the same thing by "welcoming" the fanbase that just lost their oshi to watch them instead, not even a day after they announced graduation.
Even Kyo's graduation announcement had stuff like "I feel bad for Pomudachis that are also Kyomies that I have to announce this".
This approach is far more hamfisted, and given enough audience grief, it may break the "kayfabe" that keeps them watching by exposing it as just trying to grab what little audience they can at every turn.
