nothing....it turns out the fuckers when they "leveled up" just changed the 1 to a 2 on their sheets and never looked up how to increase stats so i was running a lvl 2 game with lvl 1's. Took me noticing a lvl 3 barbarian with 8 HP to think that something is wrong. So we spent the entire time giving these fuckers all their shit that they were supposed to have anyway which took up the entire time.
AND NOW GROUP 2 WHO ACTUALLY PLAYED THE GAME
And they're gonna die. No seriously here is what happened.
>They all camping in a little cave network getting a long rest
>Leeroy Jenkins (now a wizard) wanted to investigate the bugbears they saw earlier
>rest of the party says no
>"fuck it ill do it anyway"
>uses spiderclimb and tries to be stealthy on the roof of cave
>rolls a fucking 5 for stealth
>"HEY LOOK THAT FUNNY HUMAN IS ON THE CEILING! I WONDER IF I CAN HIT IT WITH MY JAVELIN!"
>Fucking nat 20 and take out all his HP in a single hit
>rest of party watching from a distance reluctantly before try to save him
>fight ensures
>kill 1 of 3 and other 2 are pretty hurt, mostly by warlock eldritch blast spam and wizard girl spamming burning hands
>2 remaining ones decide to run off full speed with their prize back to cave basecamp
>rest of party pursue after them except the ranger who just backs up and goes back to that dead end they slept in earlier
>they find bugbear basecamp and it goes from a 4v3 to a 3v6 (ranger retreated)
>LETS TRY TO SAVE HIM GUYS!
>MFW they could barely handle 3 of them as a party of 4 and now 1 of them is down, 1 retreated, the 3 fighting burned their spell slots, and the bugbears are in their home camp so no more retreating
