I don't think it's that far-fetched and they probably had someone from the JP staff looking over until they found a replacement for the role. It was also around that time that the HoloPro push slowed down considerably and mixed collabs were barely happening compared to them being a weekly occurrence back in late August/September.

Not only that but Holox theme is much more cohesive and simple to understand. An evil secret society is a staple in anime, there was even an anime that had the exact same concept of the leader being a haughty but incompetent loli. Now what the fuck is Council supposed to be? A higher council of gods is not uncommon in anime but not only that is a much less approachable theme for a group of vtubers and they're also supposed manifestation of concepts or some shit like that which makes even more convoluted, not to mention how they look like they came from different franchises if you put them side by side. Hopefully with EN3 not being touched by that cunt's rotten finger we won't have to deal with fanfic-tier lore again.

On paper, it seems like concepts are bound for failure, simply because they cannot ever truly embody what they signify.
