Music isn't "worse now" because of "muh blacks" like how /pol/trannies would like you to believe, but it's bad now because music companies (obviously) value profit over quality.
We're long past the era of physical sales of music (in non 3rd world countries
(aka, Japan)). So Music doesn't make as much money, unless you're a huge celebrity, and not everyone is a huge celebrity.
Labels know this so they know catchy, repetitive shit will get more streams, and in terms, make more money. This is why the term "tiktok songs" is a thing. They're mainstream, catchy, and can be replayed over and over again (which gives the Labels profits).
"Older" music is not as repayable, because it was meant to be "good" and make sales, not to fufill an algorithm to appease suits (well, obviously they had to do that too, but in a different way)
