>>4304543I think you can make a few good arguments against better motion capture. For once it starts to go into uncanny valley territory, which might scare a few people off. Also one of the biggest plusses right now is that hololive members can actually hide behind their avatars. They capture some of their overall movements and a bit of their expressions, but not everything. On the other hand they also have some preset expressions they can trigger which has good reaction image potential. I think that might be the biggest plus since reaction images are basically free viral marketing.
If they however do want to switch to some better capture system, it'd probably be best to do it all at once, but that would be expensive and overall a huge pain. I'm also wondering how difficult that would be to maintain, especially from a distance.
