You're idols now, and in an elevated position that commands respect. As long as you have a degree of maturity you should be fine.
Also try to manage stress and stay on top of your health and mental calmness. This is about the long game, many talents experience burnout and health problems, you don't want to run into those because you have an unsustainable stress level.
Otherwise yeah, male interaction is easily the most controversial and potentially destructive thing you can engage with as an idol since it will almost certainly make a subset of the fanbase upset. There's a reason why the top holos (Gura, Pekora, Marine, Miko, Subaru, etc) don't do it. But if you must, the sooner people know the less upset they'll be just out of nature of them being less invested in you. You really shouldn't be in Holo and be in Niji instead in that case, but I can't tell you what to do, only what to expect to avoid as many casualties as possible.
