That being said, Pipeline welding starts at 75 bucks an hour and has an unlimited cap. Those mother fuckers are gone for 90% of the year, do 12-16 hour shifts, and exist only for as long as the company wants them. BUT they can easily clear 200k a year (counting OT) not counting how many welds they finish.
I heard that pipeline welders get paid 100-150 per diem, and they can finish like 20 welds in a shift, so thats another like 100 bucks per hour added ontop.
Theres huge money in the gas and electric fields that nobody knows about because everyone is going into engineering. The power industry are some of the highest paying, lowest skilled jobs on the market right now and it's insane nobody is talking about them.
