Why would you want to follow a Vtuber with over a million followers, who you will never ever reasonably connect with directly beyond superchats, rather than following lower-rung Vtubers with sub-100 live viewers that you can actually engage in conversations with?
I feel like the latter is a much more comfy atmosphere and it feels like the person on the other end is actually engaging and sharing in an experience rather than them being a performer and you being the consumer. It's part of why I struggle to understand numberfagging or the desire for large groups like Hololive to only grow even larger.
