For thousands upon thousands of years all of our ancestors believed in the concepts of good and evil spirits. The best way to understand is through personal experience so just keep these things in mind throughout your day and see if you feel a difference in mood when actively rejecting demonic forces. In that she feels there is a benevolent, divine force protecting her and helping her triumph over her menhera issues and demonic entities. I hope during her time in Japan she retains these ideals because they will help her in unimaginable ways.
