>>20263040It's not too late to submit, but it wouldn't surprise me if one of them already has a good idea of who's getting in already. But worst-case scenario, they know your name and that you're interested. Agencies do still keep their eyes on applicants they're interested in, even if they don't get taken in right away. If they check back in with your content months later and they like the progression you've made, you might even be scouted for a future generation. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened like that.
>>20263046Will their influence on the industry wane? Probably not. Once you get that big, it's almost impossible to shrink without a really serious scandal. Public trust is surprisingly hard to lose once you have it.
Will they always be the only two agencies that have that influence? I really doubt it. There are a lot of ways to find success in the industry. VShojo has an entirely different business model and they're doing just as good in the NA market than Holo and Niji. Even the smaller startups like Tsunderia and Phase Connect are getting bigger despite there being more competition than ever. It wouldn't surprise me if one of them cashes in on tribalism fatigue from the Niji/Holo "war" and starts to get taken very seriously as a third option. Hang out in their generals and you'll see it's already happening on a small scale
