As I understand it, yuribait would be like performative yuri, pretending to be into each other for the enjoyment of their viewers. In the case of miComet, I am referring to the Suisei pretend kabedoning Miko, and Miko checking out Suisei's model which I can go dig up if you care.
It seems apparent to me now that /u/ only care about this pretense or pandering, they are there for the experience of girls doing gay shit on air to entertain them. In that sense, BaeRyS is more real than miComet because they act like a couple instead of the things we dig up to try and figure out whether miComet actually are a couple despite never acting the part.
The only thing I don't understand is how this relates in any way to their obsession with trying to prove vtubers are actually lesbians.
It is also possible that the vtuber thread on /u/ is literally two people talking to each other, one being a lesbian obsessed schizo talking about bisluts, and one obsessed with yuribait.
