>>2648248That's mostly just because everything and anything was a completely new sensation to a fuckton of the posters. The guys who were around pre-EN got to see all these newfags revel in it and shape them into the kinds of posters they wanted them to be, and the newfags were just happy to be learning the ropes and feeling out new things. Even the schizophrenics were a novelty at the time, although it's worth noting that I think those threads, while being great, were also the times when things would be at their most terrible, because people didn't know what exactly they were doing when it came to schizophrenics, and treated a lot of minor things as being more disastrous than they really were.
Nowadays, it's routine for the most part. No big surprises until the next batch of chuubas come around, whenever that may be. And while it's a shame that you aren't gonna see as much wacky shit as the start, there's something just as nice about a routine, where you and some guys you can call friends can hang out and watch something fun every once in a while.
Ironically, it's the same experience as a relationship. The wild passion of the first few months settles down into a routine, and that's the real test. If someone hates it now, maybe it was never love to begin with, and just the passion taking over their senses, just like so many other relationships that fizzle. But if you can stick with it, and settle into a nice routine, that's something worth living for, even if I would always advocate prioritizing the girls above anything thread-related.
