I know the secret to get out of the silver room:
everyone is a goddamn animal always pushing, you cant beat them at their game, it becomes pure rng. You cant even try to push "safely" cause as you are defending from the lucky a psycopath goes full throttle gets three doras from a kan and rons you from behind.
The secret is to gather as many safe tiles as you can and fold EVERY TURN: sooner or later someone will deal into a riichi baimain or an open hand with three hidden doras and he will get 4th place.
Eventually you will get a super fast riichi and maybe win one or well if not 3rd place barely does a scrath, even getting 4th takes less points out of you than winning 1st.
So you accumulate 2nd and 3rd places until you get out of the beast elo hell where everyone is a goddamn kami kaze
