>>93961535I'm gonna answer this seriously as someone who in general doesn't like male vtubers but also doesn't necessarily hate their guts at the same time. You are a male encroaching upon an extremely female dominated industry. That alone is going to cause a number of people to dislike you, it is what it is. You'd get the exact same reaction if you were a dude trying to play women's basketball or something. If you wanna make it you have to accept this fact. After that, there's another group of people who, as long as you don't collab with their oshi, will just disregard you and not hate you at least. This is also something you have to accept. Try to see it from their perspective: they got into this hobby ti watch cute anime girls do dumb stuff live on stream. Not anime girl doing things with anime male, there's endless amounts of slice of life or romcom anime for that. In their eyes you serve zero purpose and nothing you ever do will make them ok with you collabing with their oshi. Then there's the third group who hate you and will actively let you know about it. These people feel the only male that should be getting their oshis attention is them(chat) while shes streaming. The other two groups will just not watch/donate and leave you to rot in irrelevant, but this third group are the loud ones who actively let you know they wish you the absolute worst. For the most part this group is the least mature and should really be ignored. They won't do shit, the ones that matter will let their opinions be known not through abuse but by not donating and leaving as I mentioned before. So now that you know the groups that dislike you and why they dislike you, what can you do? Try to find vtubers who collab with males regularly. Trying to collab with ones that don't have a track record of male collabs is you shooting yourself in the foot massively. Even if she accepts the collab you will absolutely be labeled a sexpest(because why else would you pursue a collab with a girl who isn't known for male collabs unless you have an ulterior motive??)
There's an audience for you but understand it's extremely small and most made up of lonely women and gay men. If you want an audience that includes straight dudes(aka the majority of vtuber fans) you need to find a not too faggy niche and become really good at it. Like some type of fps game or really good at some cool instrument or whatever just something that takes skill. Do NOT behave like a fuckboy. Do NOT try too hard to be "chad" if thats not your natural personality. Be what you are be it a massive nerd or a Chad who fucks 10 girls a week it doesn't matter but it needs to be authentic. In other words be more like Astel, Octavio, Roberu or Kuzuha be less like Vox, Luva, Jurard or Hex.
Good luck.
