CLANNAD was KyoAni's third step towards their trademark style which was to later manifest in K-ON, founding the whole fucking genre of CGDCT. The other two are Air and Kanon 2006 btw.

>>10296116The trick is to watch the anime first, ALWAYS. That way you have a show you like which the manga actually makes an even better experience. Doing it the other way around only leads to agony when the adaption is shite (Uzaki, Gakkou Gurashi etc.).
There's few exceptions where the adaption saved the Series (only Dragon Maid and Usagi Drop come to mind off the top of my head)
