I think a lot of tourists and perhaps even some of the more sane Kronies misunderstand why some of her long time fans are mad.
Nobody shat on Baelz, Ollie or Kobo (or any HoloID except Moona for that matter) when they did homo collabs because they were super upfront about doing them, either right from her debut or immediately after the end of the collab bans.
Mori didn't get much shit for the first TT collab, until she went there again, and once again as her roommate, and showed more enthusiasm and preparation for her Gigguk collab that the one with her genmate right before it.

Kronii had stayed away from homo collabs for the entirety of her career until now, and she cultivated a lot of gachis by sheer virtue of not telling them to fuck off (like Ame did for her goslings). She never said she WOULD collab with male VTubers, but she never said she WOULDN'T either. And considering the majority of the Holo atmosphere is CGDCT, this led people to naturally assume she would follow suit.

Obviously that was not the case, and she's now part of the Bae-Mori crowd of Holos who are open to male collabs. And Kronies who expected her to not do this are obviously feeling betrayed.
Not that I agree with them (they were retarded for ever going gachikoi for an EN in the first place) but I understand where they're coming from.
Betrayal - real or perceived - is the antithesis of being an idol.

Tete is super cute and a Hololive staple like with Pekomiko (.. then micomet), Noefure etc. For all the talk about CGDCT comparisons, those kinds of shows (lucky star, hidamari etc) have light yuri bits in them sometimes. It's just cute, not even necessarily sexually. It helps things all work out for Holo feeling like an alternate reality. Take that away and you take away a fair bit of the charm it has.

EN's audience is made up of majority reddit and Twitter types, not much you can do.
More rrat than hard fact but I gather EN management unfortunately seems to put an incredible amount of stock in what faggots on the subreddit say and base a lot to decision making on that.
