>>92545578>Nijisanji: EN folded into JP Yeah, that's probably the most obvious expectation for 2025. Everyone is expecting it, even some or all of the soon-to-be-ex-EN livers.
Damn near everyone expects it to happen on or before April 30, the end of the current fiscal year for Anycolor;; some people are expecting either the merger announcement or the merger itself to happen on February 12 (NA) /13 (JP), so that the company can tell the world exactly why they're closing EN without telling the investors or the stock market regulators in writing why they're actually closing EN.
>but they market it as nijisanji is one brand for all the world and make a token effort to get a couple of JPs who can speak english for a few streamsThis half of your prediction will NOT come to pass. They've spent most of the past 11 months doing the diametrical opposite of this, and having the JP livers try to appeal to EN audiences would defeat the purpose of closing the EN branch.
Besides, they already made a token effort to promote the JP branch to western audiences, by booking a Chronoir concert for AX in Los Angeles. Their effort failed miserably, with that concert selling only 500 tickets out of 4,000 available before getting cancelled outright. I'm pretty sure the suits have written off the EN audiences because of this flop.
My own 2025 prediction for Niji EN, as obvious as yours:
Definitely before the merger, and probably before the merger announcement, they're gonna fire Twisty (and any other leakers) for NDA violation and/or for damaging the company's reputation, and possibly also for damaging Aster's reputation by accusing him of sexual harassment. Aster himself won't get fired for that harassment, because they can't fire him for it now without admitting that they could have and should have fired him for it months ago; what they'll do instead is quietly "graduate" him some time after Twisty gets the axe, with minimal or no mentions of misconduct on his part, and also a small but non-zero chance of a mention how Twisty damaged his reputation by accusing him of misconduct with that mention worded in such a way as to imply that she was 100% in the wrong for making those accusations.
Oh, and after they fire Twisty, they'll find out the hard way that leakers necessarily have receipts. False will make sure of it.
