Stagnation, loss, a pathetic state, even indies, vshoujo and nijisanji are giving them a fair fight now.
They are in ruins, not a shell of their former self.
In the exact same amount of time HoloJP used the exposure HoloEN generated to grow and capitalized on that momentum.
There are multiple girls with solo 30K CCV, many girls around 15K and 10K, their lowest members are now at 3K
Old EN darlings like Mori and Ame are now stuck rotting at that 3K tier.
It's 100% the result of neglect and bad management.
Hololive (Japan) debuted many vtubers in its first two years, quickly reaching Gen 3 and then slowing down a little.
That includes: Gen 0, Gen 1, Gen 2, Gamers and eventually Gen3
In the same time HoloEN debuted no one, then we get Gen2 and more nothing.
5 members are not a fucking branch. They are are an entry, a start. But they cannot carry a full branch, not for the FUCKING GLOBAL MARKET.
10 members? Well that's better, but was already too late, they were not even able to catch up with the lost time.
Nijisanji debuts members way too fast, but once they reached a good number they slowed down a lot. That has allowed them to catch up.
What HoloEN did is much worse, they stagnated and lost momentum.
You can slow down and stop the constant debuts, but you cannot make up for the lost time and the lost momentum.
We should have at least 3 gens by now, maybe even 4.
