Basic smal-corpo timeline (EN)
Late 2021
Main small-corpos are Phase, Kawaii, Cyberlive, Tsunderia, and Prism
Top girls in order: Pippa, Nene Amano, Lumi, Miori, Shiki.
Average talent gets about 100 viewers, the good ones get 150, the bad ones get as low as 50.
The top girls at each corp typically get about 200-400 viewers. Miori broke the algorithm with lewd shorts and got 600, stunning everyone.
QRD on their situations
--Phase had lighting in a bottle with Pippa. Her political statements brought a ton of eyeballs, but her dangerous yabs had potential to bring down the entire company and she faced collab-bans with everyone. Their JP girls might as well not exist and got 20 viewers on a good day.
-- Kawaii focused on GFE and had a small group of whales that donated impressive amounts of money, so they could even afford 3D models.
-- Cyberlive's CEO put his girlfriend as head-manager and she was incompetent, leaving Lumi to run everything. So much bickering and backbiting that discord logs were leaked to shittalk other talents.
-- Tsunderia was actually older than all the other EN corps but most of their talents stopped streaming regularly because of years of neglectful management.
-- Prism faced some difficult challenges, although they had investment they were a JP corpo and so they had strict content limitations and obstacles unlike the other corps. Shiki kept making left wing political statements that made most of the 4chan crowd shun her.
Early 2022
Slow and stagnant growth for the most part, although Pippa was showing growth and even got 600 viewers (!!!) on her Ralph stream. In general small corporations faced drama and collapses.
-- Cyberlive collapsed in a heap of drama and they even gave Lumi a public apology for mistreating her. She left to join her friend Pippa at Phase Connect, while the other girls formed their own group "Aetheria" which dissipated once Menace graduated.
-- Tsunderia lost Miori and a bunch of other girls in a talent revolt. Although they had survived drama before, this was looking like critical damage.
-- Kawaii had enough money to pay for an expensive new gen with branding and models.
-- Prism is bought out by Sony and stagnates hard.
Late 2022
The Omega business happens. Suddenly there is a surge of interest in small corpos. The average at Phase and Kawaii rises to about 300. Idol corp decides to get into the business and releases some EN talents (top girl is Rin).
-- Tsunderia is on its last legs and only has 2 prolific females. The girls isolate themselves from the males and manage to double their viewership to 200 during this period.
-- Pippa starts growing explosively at this point and breaks the 1k barrier. Then the 2k barrier. Her income surges to holo-tier. Suddenly Phase has a bunch of money to invest.
-- Idol corp has a monstrous amount of money to buy ads and grows quite explosively, becoming an equal match for Phase
-- Athough numbers surged at other small corps, Prism completely misses the trend and remains the same.
Early 2023
Once again viewership at small corpos is stagnant. And once again it's a period of drama and collapse.
-- Tsunderia collapses completely when Slugma decides to leave and take the girls with her. 4 of them go to Phase Connect.
-- Kawaii's expensive 3rd gen has massive drama which leads to the entire gen leaving the company in a mass-layoff. A devastating blow that set the company back a year or more.
-- Prism chases off the holofans by foolishly debuting males, no doubt inspired by Holostars. Only 2 males are debuted and one of them soon graduates.
-- Pippa inclines beyond 3k with the wizard-game drama and is looking unstoppable. The other girls start inclining too.
Late 2023
At this point Phase and Idol have established themselves as mid-level corpos, while Prism and Kawaii remain in a battered and stagnant status.
-- Phase does a major ad-buy and releases their 3rd gen, rising to 22 female talents. At this point their ccv has risen to high 3-view status and Pippa surpasses all of NijiEN. Even the JP talents pulled themselves to 3-view.
-- Idol suffers drama with the termination of Riro which made headlines everywhere and the graduation of Momo. They are still going strong, although somewhat stagnant without the massive ad-buys from before.
-- Prism looks like something from 2 years ago with their 100 viewer average. Completely stagnant
-- Kawaii is still standing...for now, but their reputation is in shatters and until they release a new gen there's barely any reason to watch them.
~ Summary, and what you can learn from all of this.
All of the corps started on somewhat the same playing field. Management is wht made the difference. Phase had a hyper-sensitivity to yabs because they were constantly controlling Pippa, and good management overall. They assimilated the best talents from the fallen corpos and it only made them stronger. By re-investing their winnings they continued their rise.
