>>60955191I disagree with it being related to folding ID. Very few people paid attention but ID was a casualty of a complete different drama: the fall of NijiKR.
It had EVERYTHING that is plaguing NijiEN now
>their top talent graduating only to resurface at a competing company >accusations of poor and absent management >cliques a a talent infighting That last part led to one talent (Arae Chae) being accused of slandering (spreading rrats) about other talents WITH the acquiescence of part of their local management, to the point she got TAKEN TO COURT by some talent
>incidentally Arae Chae didn’t even get a public graduation OR a termination notice. Nijisanji just deleted her page and any mentions to her during the merger and pretended she never existed(!)
The decision to shut down NijiKR was already made (and half their cast has already graduated) and I genuinely believe Anycolor just looked at the financials and said
>FUCK IT, we’re merging NijiID as well!Back then NijiID didn’t have any problems (other than poor performance).
>they never had any graduation>they didn’t rock the boat or had any drama >they had a good reputation in the local market including partnerships with local brands and local media organizations I say they got caught in the crossfire of the NijiKR situation.
Interestingly enough, when I see people asking for HoloKR I can stop but thinking
>people have NO IDEA of how hot headed, entitled and venomous Korean chicks areAnd I say that SPECIALLY for the ones in the entertainment industry. Hololive is dodging a bullet by not having made that leap yet.
