>>59824638Robert figured out halfway in his career that there was literally no saving the homo branch.
He's friendly with them, but it's obvious that none of the other homos are suited for streaming. Which is fine, because a lot of early holos were like that too, but the problem is that none of homos have the mindset of IMPROVING themselves.
While the girls got shit on for most of holo's early life, they were still united and helped each other out, and those who were bad at streaming were taught how to do stuff by the more experienced girls. Just look at early Subaru or Korone vs how they are now.
Meanwhile homos got one guy with creative content who graduated, and it turned their entire branch into a graveyard of content for a year and a half.
I remember this was around the time Robert started moving outside the homo box, so he very likely realized that the branch was beyond saving.
Gamma tried for a while, but without the "cute comfy girl" buff going for him, his drawing alone didn't take him anywhere. And well, from the few streams I bothered to follow after his Rust arc, he never switched things up either (e.g. drawing 4komas, other manga panels, audience prompts etc).
The entire branch just feels lethargic due to its 4 year old dogshit legacy, causing a cruising mindset among everyone inside because subconsciously they've accepted that this is as far as they can go.
This is why I think nuking the holostars branch and rebranding it as something with zero Hololive connection is the only way they will have ANY incentive of making it.
