I just realized this would never work in Hololive, we got fags still mourning Sana with Sana is eternal. Niji actually throws every graduated liver under the bus and treats them like shit, so subbing members like dolls would work for them, but the second someone leaves a holo gen, the unity usually dies with them. Gokisei is nepolabo now, yonkisei was kept together by Coco. It just can't work because of how different vtuber gens are from bands.

It's true that we were close to hitting line limit but we hadn't quite gotten there yet.
We just couldn't have added any other people if we kept the graduated livers. Anons proposed shrinking the spaces between the waves but it was an unpopular proposal. Some anons proposed getting rid of Niji mado and Petras list some suggested just waiting until a new wave debuted and dealing with it then.

So while yes we were running out room the rentry solved multiple problems. It got rid of people talking about former livers, and saved room for future waves.
