FAQ
>Are you cheating? No. What distinguishes our playstyle from the norm is just cooperation. We only use in-game mechanics and data that is available to anyone, without the usage of exploits or market manipulation. We operate within the market, not outside of it. We are revealing ourselves because we are not cheating – if we were, we would have kept quiet and operated in secret like another group...
>Why was Miyatsuko formed? It has become clear that we have reached the limit of strategies that would involve only one person, as profit differences between distinct swing-trading or long-term strategies shrink rapidly relative to net worth. The leaderboard has become stale, and so has the discussion of the game. Since the first introduction of real player interaction, any strategies involving the cooperation of players have been largely unexplored despite offering higher long-term returns for the group and all the benefits of pooled resources and knowledge. As such, we recognized that there is a place for a player-led company within Nasfaq, and beyond increasing in-group profit, this will hopefully also liven up the community.
> What’s with all the auctions? We use auctions in two ways: first is bolstering our company HQ, which represents the company’s standing on the leaderboard; second is post-dividends liquid sharing towards a uniform spending target. Since the more money you earn, the more liquid you have to spend before the following dividends, high-ranked players are locked into poor trades with lower returns than players with less money. After making a sizeable spreadsheet modeling the market and returns of individual investing and liquid sharing, the latter strategy emerged as having the edge over the other that increased with time, even factoring in the money lost to taxes. Additionally, with a near-equal amount of available liquid, optimal trades will be very similar for every person, which improves the efficiency of shared trading strategies. Lower-ranked players can buy positions with higher returns than if that liquid was used by higher-ranked players, both dividends-wise and swing-trading-wise. Higher-ranked players can also liquidate their worse positions over time and swing-trade more efficiently as their hands are not tied by their inability to sell most positions. We keep it about the money; auctions are just a tool to maximize in-group profit.
>What tools are you using?Various spreadsheets, archived historical data, and mathematical models. The group has experimented with a new multicoin evaluation method for long-term investments. As discussed earlier, dividends sharing is a part of our strategy as it is projected to generate more revenue in the long term. That being said, even though we use collaborative tools and approaches, we allow for our members to buy their oshi – a suboptimal wallet is better than a soulless one.
>Why is priestess’ account being pumped? We decided to designate one of our members to represent Miyatsuko’s combined standing on the leaderboard, our HQ. This decision was made early in the company’s formation and was not priestess’ idea.
>Can I join? Not right now. Expansion of the group and new members have to be both approved by consensus, and we are not looking for anyone specific at the moment until the dust settles. That being said, you believe you have something to contribute to company, feel free to contact us by the e-mail given in the first thread post! We will likely be formalizing the details of becoming an associate in the near future.
>What does this all mean for the market? It should have little to no impact on market movement. Market manipulation is not our intention, and our trades are just a drop in the sea of total transactions. That being said, cooperative strategies should provide a slight but clear-cut mathematical advantage and allow players to achieve goals impossible by individual investing; as such, we would not be surprised if other companies made of players with common goals start to organize.
>tl;dr onegaiWe are establishing Miyatsuko - a player-led company focused on increasing the in- group profits of our members through previously unused strategies like long-term dividend plays involving auctions, improving the company’s HQ standing on the leaderboard, and rejuvenating the game. We are not cheating or manipulating the market in any way, so this will not affect the game much if you are not interested. We are not accepting new members now, but feel free to create your own companies to keep things competitive (and to liven up the thread a bit).
