>>74455904>models and rigging quality act as force multipliers to the Vtuber.I agree and I understand your main point. The bulk of my argument hinges on the fact a LOT of entrants in the market
>indies>small corposput an excessive focus and effort on trying to get the high quality stuff thinking it will be a competitive differential but, in practice, it never is.
I’ll be bold: I can’t think of a single case where the rigging and model made the difference for a girl.
You talk about fighting and form. I’ll borrow the analogy and say rigging and model are the “roundhouse kick” of the vtubing world. It’s an amazing tool to have in your toolbox but it’s definitely not worth to practice it before the humble jabs and head bobbing.
Incidentally webm related: Ronda Rousey gave a recent interview disclosing that she ate a good piece of her lip and inner mouth in the very first punch Holly threw
>because Ronda didn’t actually got trained to dodge punches and thought she could just let it land, grab the arm and go for the judo throw First punch that landed from the undefeated 8 times boxing champion and the fight was over.
Rigging and model are the roundhouse kick: good to have but not necessary for success or important enough to focus from the getgo
>carveout here to be made for the big corpos. They have the money and the reputation to uphold, debuting a subpar model or hiring a subpar riggers is a demerit they should avoid at all costs.
