Shit like the Holocaust happened because they went "haven't gotten a copyright strike yet, it's fine", and then when they got into shit with Nintendo they went "that's just one, it's still fine" until Capcom got on their collective ass too.
The Taiwan shit happened because they let fans run things on the BilliBilli side when they were small and at no point went "now that we're bigger we need more control over this"
And you can't even say they had no way of knowing these things could happen, because other vtuber companies (including, yes, Nijisanji) have had similar problems that Hololive COULD learn from and chooses not to.
Hell, they'll probably have a Holocaust tier issue over unarchived karokes one of these days. It being unarchived doesn't change that it IS copyright infringement and you CAN get in trouble over VODs you've taken down. The second someone major catches wind of those streams they'll be fucked yet again, because they refuse to be smart when coasting along is easier.
I like Hololive, but good god do I hate Cover.
