When VShojo first formed everyone did a re-debut to hype up the organization. Rather than treat it like something serious, Melody instead chose that time to debut a brand new model! That lovable little monster we all know and love as Malady. Cute as she was, it was obvious that Malady wasn't a "serious" project. Her "clothing" was a one-piece bodysuit, she literally didn't have arms, her eyes weren't parallel, and she wore a hat stolen right out of Homestuck. It was during this initial debut that Mel also reassured viewers that Malady would not be her only 2D form. She told everyone she had a real one in the works and she would show everyone when she could. That was 10 months ago, and in that time there had been only a small handful of hints that she was actually pursuing a 2D form.
Well it's finally time. The teasers have been coming out for the past month so we know that the Melody Live2D exists, and the the date was set for TODAY! Mel and Silver are the only real holdouts of the group in terms of being strictly 3D since their debuts, and today Mel breaks that streak while Silver plans on doing so later on. The other girls are certainly hyped for it as Vei and Nyan both have canceled streams to show support for the double debut. That's right, in addition to being her first ever Live2D form, it's also Melody's first-ever subathon! That means there will be goals and rewards and given that she's never done one of these before nobody knows what to really expect in that regard. Especially given the adult nature of the other side of Melody's work.
And would you look at that. Mel went live while I was writing this so all this speculation is about to be proven useless! The point is that Mel now has a 2D form so tune into her stream to check it out! There'll probably be a lot of discussion about this in the thread and the early reactions are looking pretty positive! So make sure you do your part to keep things comfy and civil by ignoring any and all bait you come across, and always remember to be excellent to each other.
