First of all, there are plenty of other translators that clip the Holo's GFE. Look harder. They usually don't get the same amount of clicks and views that meme clips do though so they aren't promoted by the algo as hard.
Secondly, and I have to stress this immensely, translating JP for a mostly EOP audience is very delicate. I get that people want more of the parasocial GFE side. That's fine. There is nothing wrong with wanting to know more about your Holo (learn Japanese you lazy fuck if you truly love her). But with that comes a responsibility because you are messing with actual people's feelings and emotions. And everything that happens is magnified 1000x by the internet. People will spin rrats if a Holo doesn't collab with another Holo for a few days. Every tweet, every clip, every soundbite is analyzed ad infinitum by mentally ill SEAniggers looking for drama. It's been fucking YEARS, and people still think Kizuna Ai got replaced. She even put out a subtitled video proving it's her again and people still don't know about it. The damage has already been done and her reputation and following will never recover.
All this is a long winded way of saying that when a translator decides to translate something with a bit more emotional depth, such as when a Holo opens up to their viewers, it's an almost sacred duty to get it right, because most fans are casuals and get their impressions of Holos from clips. The fallout from a mistranslated clip can be enormous and has done real harm in the past. If it were up to me, it'd be a one strike and you're out policy. Even though it's not up to me, Iroha, OtakMori and other shitty clippers have shown REPEATEDLY on multiple occasions that they flat out do not care about getting it right, even when it hurts the Holo. They want the drama and attention and views and clicks, it's easy to issue an apology later after the damage has been done.
I understand wanting to be closer to your Holo. But if you really cared about her, your first priority would be her feelings and yes, even her safety, given all the schizos out there. A single mistranslated clip can have enormous repercussions. It's not worth the Holo being hurt so you can have the illusion of being closer to her. And if you really cared, learn Japanese if she's a JP Holo, member her, and watch streams. Don't rely on tabloid peddlers for your fix.
