I can't say that I didn't start out with this mentality, but the two people I liked the most in Holo have very quickly turned that mentality off in me over the last year and some change. This is a business, they are entertainers, and if they don't give me what I want I just stop watching. I've always had online creators I liked, and I dropped them when they got bad enough that their content became annoying instead of fun. I have no idea how or what 2020 and vtubing broke that in me for so many years.
Quick example pre-vtubing is Giant Bomb. Loved their content, watched a good chunk of their streams and videos if it was something I was interested in. Then Abby showed up and made half the content from the East Coast crew insufferable and after she left multiple other long-timers left and it didn't feel the same, so I dropped it.
