Legally, if you look at Canadian law websites like https://www.adamsdrafting.com/termination-and-expiration/, they make a clear distinction that expiration can only happen without one side or the other taking active action against the contract in one way or another invoking it which Phase clearly did in the notice. It doesn't matter what Yuri said because Phase as one of the two parties clearly objected and invoked its cession and publicly announced it so it can not legally be called an expiration even though in practice that was probably what it was.

It should be mentioned that this isn't merely Yuri's word against the company, but Yuri against the company AND all the english speaking girls there at the time who proceeded to unperson her and take Phase's side. That'd be Yuri against like, 12 girls, maybe 11 because Pippa never cut contact with her (this is actually a point in Yuri's favor because Pippa historically is a good judge of character.)

So to keep pushing the narrative you have to either assume that all 11 girls were snakes conspiring against or at least indifferent to Yuri, or they're good but Phase is SO evil that they've been keeping them quiet under threat for years.

RE Sayu & Phase
Phase were in a different spot when they talked. They were on the come up, but they were still kinda inflexible it felt like. Sayu approached them, Phase were interested, they gave her a 1st offer their standard Invader talent contract, Sayu was not interested in that and then she never countered talks broke off and then she complained on stream about it which was kinda unprofessional but Sayu gonna Sayu.

Regardless, Sayu was never a fit for them. She would last 1 year there before she would have decided to not renew her contract. She does not pass the vibe check and is too much of a heat seeker. Not worth the trouble. Clara 2.0

Mari is still affiliated with mythic talent and Clio farms sponsorships through an Australian streamer agency, they don't pay phase cut on that.

That's not how it works unfortunately because she would have to show actual damages to succeed a risky lawsuit, which can be hard when it's mostly internet gossip she had to endure and yes, an NDA can forbid a ton in this industry, like any internal communications can be put behind an NDA.

While you try to judge her for it you should also keep in mind that sometimes writing out the full truth is difficult, confusing and sometimes behind NDA or other considerations and there are many ways to view who actually "creates" a vtuber (concept artist, rigger, corpo planning, vtuber breathing life into the role etc)

A real professional company, like for example Hololive, mentions the particular contract breach relevant for the termination to not invite too much unnecessary speculations. Unlike Phase Connect who basically just invited everybody to rrat about her by alleging that she broke multiple rules but not naming a single one.
Also there was no need for a termination notice if her contract was up anyway. It was just an underhanded method for them to get back at her.

She started advertising herself on the reactived Yuri account right before Phase announced their new gen, basically implying that she was going to be returning to Phase. Yuri is very menhera and doesn't discriminate between good and bad attention. She loves to keep using her victimization by Sakana as a foot in the door, but also wants you to think she's a good girl and the beef with Sakana is fake and there are no hard feelings.

My understanding of the situation? Yuri did something that fucked with the other girls, Phase tried to mediate, mediation was not successful, continuation of the business relationship was deemed impossible so she got terminated and things were left vague to not paint anyone in a bad light. The Yuri IP was at that time still under Phase control, likely under some form of joint ownership, and in order to use it Yuri would have had to come to an agreement with Phase. After 2 years of every rrat under the sun Yuri reached out to Phase and they worked out an agreement where Phase relinquished their ownership of the IP where it relates to the original naming (Amaris Yuri) but retained their ownership of the new naming and new model that happened within Phase (Fuura Yuri). Yuri will continue streaming with her current IP as her main thing and pull out the Yuri IP for whatever RP or ASMR content she wants to use it for on the side. Phase didn't lie on the termination notice and Yuri didn't lie on the Q&A, it's just a whole bunch of doublespeak that while technically true on all fronts doesn't give you the full picture.
We will likely never know what she actually did to get terminated but it's probably something that doesn't really matter unless you were one of the Phase girls affected by it

There was no termination notice and she still works there and gets paid. They are not obligated to "terminate" someone just because they don't have an active contract or change their relationship in any way. The explanation that they just *had* to let Yuri go because her contract expired holds no way. End of the day, I was a big Yuri fan in Phase. Her and my oshi were amazing collab partners and best friends together, but that was a long time ago. Those who live in the past are doomed to repeat it, as they say.

I hope for her and for any girls in Phase that may still be hung up, I hope for them to heal.
