>>1088336This place can be read completely discretely without anyone ever being able to know, unlike lurking in a discord. It also collects information far far more efficiently than twitter, and there is also actual conversation about streams and lots of opinions/feedback here unlike the holo leddit which is a sanitized corporate mouthpiece that breeds yes-men by nature.
Lastly anyone who actually has been into vtubers for a while knows Holos were all the rage on /jp/ for like a year before that holo leddit even existed at all. Long before any EOP pandering ever existed we were there going nuts over Miko's nigga incident and the Towa incident etc. /jp/ was actually like the tip of the spear for western Holo discussion in specific, still kind of is along with here. If they are longtime users of this site, if they actually cared about vtubers before applying, they probably were quite used to reading up on here.
On the above, considering that we also know that their assumptions about their reception pre-debut were in fact really gloomy, and that they thought they'd be called cringe failures etc, reads a ton like how /jp/ felt shortly before they took off, while you didn't really see that notion much elsewhere. They clearly pay at least some attention to here.
