Newfags simply don't know about Ayame. She was one of the earlier hires and was given express permission to stream whenever she wants. She always said that Hololive is her hobby, she streams at her leisure, and it's not gonna change.

If you mean the old youtube VODs, that's extremely misleading for those reasons :

- many got retroactively privated/deleted during the infamous Holocaust.
- Youtube wasn't exactly the focus, most girls used a mix of twitcasting (matsuri, aki) and OPENREC.tv, even Mirrativ

https://www.openrec.tv/user/shirakamifubuki for example she debuted in the same era and streamed almost every day

For the rest, a lot of their streams weren't gaming but marshmallow streams and general chatting. Ayame was never hired to be a youtube gamer and it's perfectly possible she likes the idol aspect of hololive, not the gaming one
